Carmel Valley’s Tularcitos Fire Station

$10.00

8 pages & 12 rare photos (8.5 x 11 format)

The latest edition to the History Center’s growing list of historical documents is a rare history of the original California Department of Forestry Tularcitos Fire Station. It was located 2½ miles east of Carmel Valley Village by the entrance to Sleepy Hollow and operated from the 1940s until 1979 when it was relocated 5½ miles east of the Village to its current facility on Cachagua Road.

Virtually nothing remains of the old fire station and few oldtimers are still around today who may recall it.

* If you or somebody you know has any information on this fire station, please contact Jeff Ohlson, CVHS Historian, by leaving a message at the History Center @ 831-659-5715 or by email [email protected].
