Director at Large

I was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, traveled extensively domestically, and abroad after two years at Kent State. In 1976 on a visit to Carmel Beach from I was hired by Pebble Beach Company. With two big dogs and little money, I was told the least expensive place to live was Carmel Valley. I initially lived at the Carmel Valley Lodge (now Bernardus) exchanging maintenance and pool cleaning for rent, eventually buying a home on Flight Road. I worked at Pebble Beach until 1989 changing careers to have weekends and holidays off with my 3 sons. I worked for Audrey Talbot at the Talbott Studio from 1989 until retiring in 2012. Working full time raising children, my involvement with Carmel Valley was Boy Scout troop 127, Little league and the Carmel Valley pool. I wanted to be part of the Carmel Valley Museum the first day I visited about four years ago, but had a few things on my bucket list to do before committing time. I enjoy being involved with so many talented people here at the museum.
