Maxine Callinan and Donna Zahn were working alone in the History Center on a quiet Tuesday morning when Lorin Letendre, President of the Carmel River Watershed Conservancy, dropped in to ask about arranging school field trips to the History Center. He then said that, incidentally, he had a bus load of 32 5th graders and science teachers from Stevenson Lower School in the parking lot!?? Maxine and Donna, of course, invited them in for a very exciting but short visit, as they had a schedule to keep. They all agreed that future field trips would be scheduled and that arrangements could be made for groups on days other than the normal days open, Friday and Saturday. What a great unplanned Tuesday morning the ladies had!
